Distribution – In southern parts of India, especially in Kerala.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
A large shrub or small tree grows up to 3-4 meters in height. Leaves simple, opposite, ovate-lanceolate, acute or acuminate and shiny. Flowers arises from axillary condensed spikes, white; fruits capsules.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, kapha, cough, bronchitis, asthma, inflammation, hemorrhage, hemorrhoids, diseases of eyes, and bleeding diarrhea.
Useful part : Whole plant.
