Distribution – Throughout southern part of India growing wild, as well as cultivated.
PLANT DESCRIPTION
A medium sized deciduous tree grows up to 25 meters in height. Leaves compound, trifoliate, petiolate, leaf lets lanceolate; flowers white at the end of branches. Fruits oblong, fusiform, seeds round, small black and surrounded with a tuft of long silky hairs. Bark is smooth, greenish, with thorns when young.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, pitta, splenomegaly, tumor, constipation, colic, flatulence, urinary retention, and seminal weakness.
Useful part : Root, Bark.
