PLANT DESCRIPTION
A small woody shrub grows up to 2 meters in height. Leaves simple, opposite, elliptic, acute, sessile and shiny, leaves are surrounded by 4 sharp thorns. Flowers seen in axillary panicles, small and white. Fruits are single seeded berries.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated kapha, vata, bronchitis, cough, asthma, and is a good expectorant. It is also used in diabetes, diarrhea and arthritis.
Useful part : Whole plant.
