Distribution – Throughout India growing wild, also cultivated for medicinal purpose.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
A small evergreen tree grows up to 6 meters in height. Leaves simple, alternate, ovate, acute-acuminate, membranous; flowers unisexual, found in slender terminal panicles. Fruits ovoid with 3 distinct chambers, containing 3 smooth oval, grey colored seeds.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, pitta, constipation, worm infestation, inflammations, insanity, fever, ascites, and generalized edema. In larger dose or without purification, the plant is toxic.
Useful part : Seeds, Seed oil.
