Distribution – Cultivating in Panjab and Himachal pradesh in India.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
A perennial undershrub grows up to 1.5 meters in height. Leaves compound, pinnate, leaf lets 4-7 pairs; flowers violet in axillary racemes, fruits flattened linear pods, containing flattened seeds. Underground stems woody, pale brown color, fibrous and cream colored, with a peculiar sweetish taste.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, pitta, inflammation, headache, cough, bronchitis, fever, skin disease, peptic ulcers, graying of hair, ulcer, wounds and oligospermia.
