Distribution – Hilly areas of Kerala and Karnataka, almost all around Western Ghats

PLANT DESCRIPTION
A woody semi-climber grows up to 2 meters in height. Leaves simple ovate-lanceolate, acute, glabrous; flowers in long slender pedicles, often in a group of 3 white; fruits ovoid berries.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, kapha, skin diseases, ulcers, diseases of eye, stomatitis, pruritus, anti-toxic. In higher dose induce emesis.
Useful part : Roots, Leaves.
