PLANT DESCRIPTION
A small erect shrub grows up to 1 meter in height. Leaves simple, opposite, lanceolate, glabrous, short petioled dark violet green above. Flowers small, white, with purple spots within, in long spikes; fruits glabrous capsules.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, inflammation, arthritis, headache, hemiplegia, facial paralysis, migraine, cough, bronchitis, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, fever, ascites, and general debility.
