Distribution – Throughout India in moist places; growing wild. Also cultivated in garden.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
A pretty perennial shrub with semi woody stems and numerous branches. Leaves simple unequal sized, alternate, or sometimes in a whorl, oblong-lanceolate and acute; flowers blue in short condensed terminal spikes.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Usually this plant is not taken in medicinal formulations. It is believed that this plant is having rejuvenative property; but not scientifically proven.
