PLANT DESCRIPTION
A perennial erect herb grows up to 1.5 meters in height. Leaves simple, in whorls, sessile, lanceolate; flowers 2-3 clusters, white in leaf axils. Fruits berries, red when ripe.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, pitta, burning sensation, fever, general weakness, anorexia, and aphrodisiac.
Useful part : Root.
