Distribution – Throughout India growing wild in deciduous forests.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
A medium sized tree grows up to 15 meters in height. Leaves compound, bipinnate, leaflets many, alternate, ovate- oblong; flowers pale yellow, in short recemes, fruits are curved long pointed pods; seeds shining scarlet red colored, lenticular shaped.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, pitta, arthritis, gout, burning sensation, vomiting, fever, hemorrhoids, and diarrhea.
Useful part : Bark, Leaves, Seeds, Heartwood.
