Distribution – In wet forests of Western Ghats, also grows naturally in wet wastelands throughout India.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
Small succulent annual herb grows usually during the rainy season. Leaves simple, opposite, ovate-lanceolate, serrate, and pubescent. Flowers rose colored, axillary, solitary or in pairs. Fruits pale green dehiscent capsules, containing small globose black seeds.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, inflammation, burns and scalds, gonorrhea, bacterial infections, asthma, cough and bronchitis.
Useful part : Whole plant.
