PLANT DESCRIPTION

A shrubby short perennial monecious palm tree grows up to 4 meters in height. Leaves compound, pinnate, with sub opposite leflets, sword shaped and rigid. Flowers in spadix infloresence, enclosed in spathe, male white and female greenish. Fruits berries, black when ripe, enclosing stony seed.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES

Plant pacifies vitiated vata, pitta, burning sensation, fever, cardiac debility, peptic ulcer and general weakness.
Useful part : Fruits, Root.
