Distribution – Throughout India, grows up to 1000 meters of elevation.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
A medium to large sized tree grows up to 40 meters in height. Leaves compound, imparipinnate, leaflets 5-7 oblong obtuse and partially bilobed, with prominent nerves. Flowers yellow in terminal panicles. Fruits are pods, nearly flat with wings.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated kapha, pitta, diabetes, skin disease, leucoderma, hemorrhoids, diarrhea, arthritis cough and graying of hair. The gum Kino extracted from the bark is useful in many diseases including diabetes.
