Distribution – Grows naturally in dry deciduous forests in Western Ghats, also cultivated.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
A moderate sized deciduous tree grows up to 15 meters in height. Leaf comound, leaflets alternate, elliptic, obtuse, with fine hairs in under surface, having pale appearance. Flowers yellow in short axillary or terminal racemes. Fruits oblique pods, winged, containing seed.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, burning sensation, skin discoloration, fever, headache, diarrhea, dysentery, skin diseases, hemorrhage, inflammation, psychic disorders and general debility.
Useful part : Heartwood, Fruits
