Distribution – Throughout India, growing wild in hilly areas.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
An annual herb grows up to 70 cm in height. Leaves ovoid or lanceolate, acute, serrate, pubescent on both sides. Flowers purplish in corymbose head, fruits achenes, oblong, and cylindric. 10 ribbed and pubescent.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, kapha, roundworm and threadworm infestation, cough, urinary retention, inflammation, skin diseases, pruritus, abdominal colic, fever and leucoderma.
Useful part : Fruits.
