Distribution – Growing wildly in deciduous forests, also cultivated as a supporting tree for pepper plants.

PLANT DESCRIPTION
A moderate sized deciduous tree grows up to 18 meters in height. Leaves large, pinnate, with soft rachis, leaflets ovate or elliptic, acuminate, glabrous; flowers large, bluish purple outside and pinkish white within, seen in large erect racemes. Fruits flat capsule, about 80 cm long, enclosing many flat winged seeds.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated vata, kapha, inflammation, rheumatic arthritis, sprains, edema, neuralgia, colic, diarrhea, wounds and gouty arthritis.
Useful part : Root, Leaves, Fruits Seeds.
