PLANT DESCRIPTION
A medium to large sized tree grows up to 30 meters in height. Leaves simple, alternate, ovate-lanceolate, acuminate, serrate; flowers pink or crimson colored; fruits ovoid drupes, red, with ovoid seeds. Heartwood is reddish brown and hard.

MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, burning sensation, wounds, ulcers, skin discoloration, pruritus, diarrhea, amenorrhea, asthma and fever.
Useful part : Heartwood.
