PLANT DESCRIPTION

A small and branched shrub grows up to 120 cm in height and found usually on riverbanks. Leaves simple, almost sessile, hairy, crowded on the branches. Flowers are pink or reddish, single or 2-3 together. Fruits are subglobose, orange or red drupe.
MEDICINAL PROPERTIES
Plant pacifies vitiated pitta, piles, diabetes, renal and venereal diseases and vesical calculi. Root decoction is diuretic.
